Q: CAN I HAVE AN INTEGRATED SYSTEM FOR MY STORE AND E-COMMERCE SITE?
A: Yes, VRP provides an e-commerce solution as well as interfaces to other existing sites and can provide you our API at no cost. VRP has built in export functions and an XML based import module for e-commerce sales. We also have an in-house integration to Shopify and Amazon.
Q: HOW DOES VRP SUPPORT MULTI-LOCATION OPERATIONS (IS IT LIVE)?
A: Each location has a local database, and the different databases synchronize on a pre-scheduled interval. The gap between communication loops can be set to any number of minutes, providing the headquarters up to date information at any point of time while not compromising the ability to work due to communication line failures.
Q: HOW MANY LOCATIONS AND ITEMS CAN VRP HANDLE?
A: VRP is not limited to any number of items or locations. On a large scale operation, each store has its own inventory and sales information, but has the ability to query on line other stores’ data.
Q: WHAT IS THE LICENSING POLICY?
A: Each computer that uses VRP requires a license.
Q: DOES VRP SUPPORT COLOR/SIZE MATRIX?
A: VRP supports up to 100 sizes per product (style), and up to 10 variations for each size (i.e. inseam, width or length) that totals 1000 different size combinations. In addition there is unlimited number of colors. Each color also has a color description that may be assigned to a global color code or to a specific product (style).
Q: WHAT ARE THE SUPPORTED VERTICAL MARKETS?
A: VRP supports all the retail vertical markets. Naturally, the majority of our customers are apparel and footwear stores, but other verticals benefit from the same features. Gift shops, department stores, booksellers, school cafeteria, pet supplies, outdoor and camping and more.
Q: DOES VRP PROVIDE THE ENTIRE SOLUTION FOR SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE?
A: VRP develops the software. Along with that comes the training and support for the product. Some of our customers prefer to buy the hardware and connectivity using other vendors and some want us to provide a turnkey solution. We go by the client’s wish and provide the best technological advice for each situation.
Q: IS THE CREDIT CARD PROCESSING INTEGRATED TO THE POS?
A: VRP is PCI compliant including EMV with a number of processors and gateways including Fidelity and Global.
Q: WHAT IS THE LANGUAGE AND DATABASE THAT VRP IS BASED ON?
A: VRP is mainly developed in Visual Basic/.NET. Some modules are written in other languages of Dot Net, i.e. C#, Core etc. The only supported database is MS-SQL (Any MS-SQL version that is supported by Microsoft, is supported also by VRP). VRP is connectivity
independent and will work on any network that is supported by Microsoft.
Q: WHAT VERSIONS OF WINDOWS ARE SUPPORTED?
A: VRP has been tested and supported for Windows Vista, 7, 8 and 10. Windows XP and Vista are no longer supported.
Q: DOES VRP WORK ON A MAC?
A: At this point, VRP’s main modules work on the Microsoft platform only. Some of our customers use a Mac to remote into a Windows computer. The Web Suite is a set of modules including unlimited queries created by or for the merchant and can be used on a Mac.
